Biografía
Posteriormente estuvo a cargo de la gestión internacional de la Agencia Nacional de Hidrocarburos de Colombia y la promoción estratégica de las áreas disponibles para exploración y producción. Adicionalmente se desempeñó como asesor de despacho de la Alcaldía de Barranquilla, llevando a Barranquilla a convertirse en la primera capital energética de Colombia.
Actualmente es Secretario General de Naturgas desde donde contribuye a consolidar al gas natural como energético para la transición, la competitividad del país y la calidad de vida de los colombianos.
Camilo Morales is an International Business Administrator from Universidad de la Sabana, Colombia, and advanced studies in Mining, Energy and Sustainable Development Law from Universidad de Los Andes. Camilo has 9 years of experience in public, commercial and international affairs in the energy, oil and gas sector. He served as Energy, Oil and Gas Officer at Department for International Trade, United Kingdom, where he designed the strategy to increase British exports to Colombia.
Subsequently, he supervised the international affairs of the Colombian National Hydrocarbons Agency to develop a cooperation framework for the offshore oil and gas exploration and production areas. Additionally, he served as Senior Advisor to the Mayor’s Office of Barranquilla, leading Barranquilla to become the first energy capital of Colombia.
Camilo brings to the table a wealth of expertise in the energy sector and international relations, embodying youthful leadership.
